Being a Consultant I am used to walking into new offices on a regular basis and getting to grips with the working practices used by any particular company. One shortcoming that has always struck me is the paucity of proper project reporting procedures. Invariably the reporting is limited to inputing a few parameters into a home-spun MS Access Database with poor functionality and poorer reporting capabilities. So I decided to build my own project reporting module, and thus was born dProjectOffice - a project reporting tool which runs on Drupal implementations. The product contains all the features a Project Office and a Project Manager would require, and to help market the product, I have built a dedicated website, a link for which can be found here |

The IT world is moving towards CMS and I wholeheartedly approve of such a development. I have now ported my catphp product so it works in Drupal; this port has necessitated a name change and the module is called dVids. The beauty about moving catphp to Drupal is the functionality can be incorporated into a website performing many tasks such as ecommerce, blogging, photo galleries, commercial infrastructure etc. |

I have completed the development of dCaldav - a Drupal add-on module, free to download, to provide greater functionality on the base Drupal package. The component lists calendaring events on your Drupal website which are stored on a caldav server, such as Google Calendars or Cosmo Hub. So for instance you have create a collection of calendaring events for your favourite football team, or your business meetings, then using my new cmponent you can publish these evens on your Joomla website. For examples of this, check out my dedicated dCaldav website. |

My latest project has now gone live - a website dedicated to Cartmel Agricultural Society's Annual Show. The website can be seen here, and like this site, is based on the popular CMS Joomla. The beauty of Joomla is non-technical website owners can edit and publish on their own without the necessity of employing dedicated IT staff, or 3rd party outsourcing companies. The need to publish a new news article quickly, or to mailshot a community can be accomplished easily, with a few clicks and minimal training. If you think this approach may suit your business, send me an email and maybe we can work together. |
